Crystal clear water, winding cobblestone alleys and a town with its legacy as part of the Venetian empire, Rovinj is romantic and historic with a color palette of golds, reds and blues. At night, musicians gather on the waterfront while people sit all around them at the outdoor cafes. I loved finally hearing authentic Croatian music as we let the hours drift away. We only spent one day here but it definitely left a mark and a place I hope to return to. September is the perfect month to visit...the sunrise and sunset were definitely worthy of applause!
